With this one there's a lot of story condensed into a short flashback. I did that because there's just not as much information on the Great Arcade Crash of 1983 outside of internet opinion and here say. In other words mostly a lot of internet bullshit and we all know how dependable that is. Plus this is Scot's story... not the story of how Atari flooded the market with crap. That's all backdrop and I wanted to start fleshing out a solid rift between him and Barry. This is the spark that starts him out on his journey.
Artwise - I've been messing around more and more with halftone brushed to make interesting textures. I don't want to over do it so I scaled it back slightly. I combined a couple of different ones on the last panel and it really adds to the grunge atmosphere that is what "Barry's" should be. The place is supposed to be like if an accountant took up painting - flashy and bright outside, with nice neutral colors to... well bore the shit out of everyone but put focus on the games to make more money. Fucking accountants... like a Disney movie from the mid 2000s! Home on the Range anyone??
Anyways, I ranted. Hurrah! I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween btw. I drank. A lot.
Thanks! I appreciate it! I was just looking around for new fonts the other day. I haven't been wanting to use a comicky font - but regardless something more than blah blah boring fonts. I have a shit ton of fonts too... nothing just fits the bill quite yet.
Ugh, that's as bad as those XBox video games of the Burger King a few years back. Like really? But then again... they made The Legend of Zelda and Mario into a cereal so why the hell not haha
Yeh, instead of takin something popular and turning it into a breakfast cereal in hopes the fans will buy it, HEY howabout take a breakfast cereal and turn it into a video game noonewillbuy? No.

Yeah because old man three teeth is gonna be rolling into an arcade right after his morning bowl so he can shoot some raisins with fiber... or whatever the premise of that was going to be? Everyone is stupid in marketing. How about instead we put out Soften The Potato next?
blambot.com has a lot of great fonts for comics... a lot of them are free. I'm a fan of Crimefighter:

Keep up the great work though!
